45th Rattray's Sikh Bengal Infantry - Jemadar and Men in Service Dress, 1886
The jemadar on the left
has a Sam Browne belt with low slung sword. His khaki uniform
is no different from the men's. The man on the right is
a havildar with a crimson sash on his right shoulder. He
has the same equipment as the sepoys except for the ammunition
pouches on the front. He wears gloves that are darker in
colour than the officer's, the sepoys do not have gloves.
The turban is khaki with a red pag on the brow. The rifles
are percussion type.
