1st Punjab Infantry - Jemadar by Simkin, 1897
This figure is based on the photo of a Pathan(notice the cone coming out of the turban, this was because he had cut hair, the turban had a tendency to fall, to prevent this they tied a cone that strapped to the head, and then tie the turban). The piping round the shoulder strap, collar and cuff are red although due to a misprint on the original lithograph, they appear as white here. The turban is pale blue and green with gold stripes.
